This week I saw a podcast which featured a guest who had deconstructed his faith do to his dissatisfaction with a lack of answers to his biggest questions about the christian faith, this got me thinking about the nature of doubt and questions Sometimes we have questions, God is so vast that frequently his ways are a mystery to us. As human beings we don’t like uncertainty, we want to be certain before we commit to something. Faith reacquires trusting someone and something that we don’t know everything about. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Faith is the hope in things promised. Yet faith reacquiers us to trust without knowing all the details, this is hard and doubts are inevitable. Doubt is a part of faith, but it can be easy to deconstruct completely. We all have questions and it is important to find good outlets to answer those questions

For me my question’s have been answered through serious interrogation of the Biblical text and serios study of the theology of the Bible. When I looked deeper I sawthat I could answer the serious questions that I had. I don’t have answers to all my questions, indeed there is and always will be a component of faith to my walk with God. But all of the important questions I have were answered.

So if you have answers seek earnestly and with an open heart, you will find the answers. Let the Biblical text speak to you and ask God to meet you where your at. Uderstand that you may not receive the answer to every question, or at least not an answer that is entirely satisfying, always keep seeking but remeber that in the end its not how many you find answers to its whether those answers are enough for yo to trust God.
