When we surrender to God we, gain the peace of his presence. He is a comforter and a bringer of rest. What’s more he is faithful in all things. The Lord uses the waiting seasons of our life in order to refine us into being more like him and when we lean into him we understand his ways and we gain an understanding of his love. The more we understand his love the more we gain trust in him. I have learned how to be someone who trusts God, and in trusting him I have learned to surrender all my worries and concerns to him. God asks us to surrender all the things that concern us so that we can be free of the chains the enemy so often hangs on us.
When we look to God we can rest easy, when we lay our burdens on him we are not consumed. Lamentations 3:22-23 says that God will not let us be consumed by our worry’s or our fears. He will bring us over the mountains that threaten to overwhelm us. He turns the tides to bless us. The key is to understand that the tides are turned in his time. When we look to God we see a loving father who will always raise us up. When we are patient we see his blessings in our lives. God will not let our anxieties consume us he will bring us to his perfect plan.
