God calls us to surrender. When we surrender to God we are showing him the ultimate gesture of trust. The world has so many challenges and so many distractions, and it can be so easy to get distracted and discouraged. The enemy wants us to give in to dispair and the easiest way to do this is to overwhelm us and to drown out God’s presence in our lives. We allow God to be Lord in our lives when we surrender all our worries and concerns to him. God gives us the strength to face the challenges of every day life and we can overcome the worries of life by surrendering our worries to him. The devil flees from those who surrender to God (James 7:4(ץ We also must surrender our desires and dreams to him as well. Not because these things are bad, but because giving God control over even our desires will help us to trust him with all things.
So when you feel ovewhelmed, give everything to God because he will guide you through the difficulties of life, he is working in the background to bring all things to our good.
