This week my life has been a bit wild. Career opportunities that I thought were opening closed or fell through just as fast as they seemed to open. What’s more my family and I have been having car troubles recently. All of this hows how fast things can change and how fleeting certain things are. As a oung man still looking for the right path in life these issues can often be frustrating, disappointments can make it easy to grow Jaded, especially when they come during a drought season in life. During times like these, I need to keep God front and centre in my life and as the foundation of my peace.
When life grows difficult then it is important to remember that God is faithful even when his plans seem unclear. I clean to the promises he has made, plans to give me a future of hope (Jer29:11). God’s timing isn’t always my own, so instead of fearing for the future or dwelling on the opportunities that have not worked out, I choose to continue looking to God for the things that I need, and I choose to focus on the blessings he has given me. Everything else, like jobs, carrers and relationships will fall into place sometime. I just need to trust that whatever path God calls me to he will give me the wisdom to follow it.
