This last week I was rejected for a internship within the industry I have been trying to get into. I am now a month away from having been on a job search for three years. I have been able to find internships but I have not been able to find a long term job. My struggle is not unique, and it can be incredibly difficult for me to face this reality form a mental perspective. Times are tough for a lot of people. I have seen doors close that I thought might be open and I am seeing doors open that I didn’t expect to see are opening. For me the thing that has been bringing me through all of this is that I am keeping my eyes on God, and I am remembering that in all things he guides my path and he prepares the way’s he has for me. God opens doors and he closes doors.

God is in control over all things. He gives and takes away (Job 1:21). God knows all things and that includes all the outcomes that we can never really know. So when a door closes I must remember that God knows what is best, and even when I don’t understand what is happening I need to trust him. God is in control of all things that are in the universe. God runs the universe yet he cares enough about me to shape my life. God will work all things out, and I need to understand that his timing is perfect. I am looking to God and I am holding out hope for the future.

So remember that when life s difficult. God is still working in your life. When things are hard on you its a test for your faith. Keep your eyes on God and he will give the strength to carry on when it seems impossible to do so.
