The joy of the Lord is my strength. The Lord gives me the strength to wait on him in dry seasons. When I am frustrated with lack of progress getting a job, I have the reassurance that the Lord is always with me. I know that the joy of the Lord allows me to meet trials and hard circumstances. This last year as I have faced loss, anxiety, driving lessons and a job search, I have truly learned to appreciate the joy that can be found in trusting God. I have fond peace in the strength of God’s love. Through his love God shows me that I am not alone i my walk.
Hebrews 12:1-2 says that Jesus faced the cross with joy (Heb 12:2). Jesus also says that our weeping will turn to Joy (John 16:20), He also says that because he has overcome the World, we therefore have joy and don’t need to dispair (John 16:33). so therefore let us rest in the Lord, for when we rest in him we have the reassurance that he is looking out for us. God gives us joy as we climb over the mountains of life. He guides us to the summits of our challenges and helps us to relalize that we are indeed his beloved children
